Q: What's a service like?
It takes courage to walk into a new church for the first time. But don't worry, when you walk up to the front door, someone will be there to say "hi" and show you a comfy place to sit. To start, we'll sing a few worship songs. after the music, one of our pastors will give a 30 minute message from the Bible in a way that is relevant and applicable to our everyday life. A few announcements later and its back to snacking and chatting for as long as you'd like to stay. Our goal is to make you feel at home.
Q: What should I wear?
You don't have to wear a suit to come to Candlewood. In fact, whatever you are wearing right now will do just fine.
Jeans, sandals, t-shirts, tattoos, piercings... you can find them all at Candlewood. Just don't judge the guy that is wearing slacks and a collar when you come. Jesus judges by the heart, not by outer appearances.
Q: What about my kids?
Need a place for your children while you are attending the service? Both Prairie Wind and Westside have a nursery for the young ones. Sunday school is available for the older children at the Prairie Wind service.
Q: Will you ask for money?
As a general rule, we will not use the Church services to share financial needs or request funds. We truly desire that money given to the church be done so freely, cheerfully, and out of genuine appreciation to God.
Q: What is The Rock?
The Rock is a ministry of Candlewood church. It is a unique service designed for college students in the Omaha area.
The Rock meets on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus on Wednesdays at 7:24pm.
